I definitely got lost on the way here and walked past the entrance a couple of times before I found it. But the stair up has a cute decoration and the interior was nice! I got the una kyo which only came with 4 pieces and the negi Hama. I shared the ebi shumai and it was definitely filled with shrimp and was a very shrimpy taste. They don't really check on you after you order so I had to flag someone down to get more ginger. Overall sushi was fresh and good but not super worth the price with the portion sizes you get!

Located just a flight of stairs up, it welcomes diners with a beautifully intimate dining room adorned with dim lighting and authentic Japanese vibes that promise a unique and enjoyable experience. The sushi at Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya is impeccably crafted. Each piece is a testament to freshness and culinary expertise, perfectly balanced in flavor, sauce, and texture, ensuring each bite is as delightful as the last. But sushi isn't the only standout on the menu; their steak is also noteworthy, praised for being cooked to perfection, offering a satisfying complement to the seafood offerings. The menu is diverse, featuring an array of dishes that cater to a variety of tastes. Highlights include their tsukiji-style skirt steak, homemade pork shumai dumplings, and a selection of kushi yaki (skewers) like beef short rib with garlic and sea scallop with miso butter, all meticulously prepared and rich in flavor. Good quality sushi, I sat at the sushi bar so I was able to watch them prepare each dish. The attention to detail was amazing, watching their precision slicing & molding was quite interesting. I love sushi but I'm a bit skeptical about sashimi. This time I gave it a chance & I cannot believe how good it was. I can't remember every fish on my dish but it was so good. Even the one with the fish scales still on it, you couldn't even taste it was still there & I'm big on textures. The service was great, I was able to converse with the chefs at the sushi bar. The location is pretty big, can definitely have a big dinner party. Very dim lighting, kinda gives a lounge vibe.
